Adding 2023 to the success of the Kolonn family of planters, is a bench. Designed to sit between two Kolonn planters this bench enables easy and creative compositions of vegetation and seating. Kolonn combines modern design with traditional craftsmanship. Kolonn is manufactured in Byarum, Småland, hand-cast in 100% recycled aluminum, modern craftsmanship. At Byarums Bruk, they adhere to a traditional production of aluminum casting. All shaping is done in raw sand that is constantly being reused. Products are cast in a mold made of sand, clay, soot, and water, all free from chemical binders. Sustainability and longevity for real.

Kolonn is a family of solid planters with design elements inspired by ancient columns. The irregularity in the pattern creates playfulness and the rounded corners emphasise the solid expression. Kolonn is a planter that quietly adds character to its context. Its design enhances the vertical direction that begins in the planter and continues in what is planted. The playful, irregular concave forms, together with the natural sand-cast surface, give the planters a texture both up close and from a distance, accentuated by how the light falls at the different times of the day. Innovation is also found in the modular construction with a separate corner and straight intermediate pieces, which allow for smaller or larger sizes, square or rectangular, and with several straight modules in a row, additional versions can be created - all based on the three casting molds.
